Hello everyone this is the second feature email newsletter we've sent out and we do have quite a few changes to communicate to you. If you have any questions please feel free to email us at [email protected]

Over the past year we have seen explosive growth with our daily query volumes doubling month over month. We're also seeing huge registration numbers. In September 2017 we saw more users signup for the service than in all of 2016 and October is already looking like it will eclipse last months registration numbers.

With this kind of healthy growth we've been investing heavily in the service adding new features and improving overall performance. So lets get to the updates!

  1. Outreach
    • In June we added a company blog where we've been making quite a few posts several times a month
    • We added Live Chat support to the website manned by our developers so you can receive help on any subject
    • We added new code examples for Minecraft and C# to our examples page
    • We added a new pricing page so new customers can see what we're charging before signing up
  2. Payments
    • We took a big step in changing our pricing model from one time yearly payments to reoccurring subscriptions.
    • We broadened our pricing offering more affordable plans and also enterprise sized plans for large customers
  3. Infrastructure
    • We added a third node to the server cluster called ATLAS which is handling a third of all queries
    • We altered our international routing to enable lower latency access to our server nodes worldwide
  4. General UI Improvements
    • We redesigned the look and feel of the site, things are much more interactive and consistent
    • We made the site mobile friendly with a new resizing menubar and "hamburger" menu for the smallest display sizes
    • We redesigned the look and feel of all our emails, they are now much more consistent with embedded CSS and encoded images
    • We redesigned the payment interface inside the customer dashboard which now supports subscriptions
    • The Web Interface page was greatly improved with a new loading animation and data column view
    • The API Documentation page was cleaned up and had many of our new CSS rules applied to its layout
    • We began sending Query Exhausted emails in late July, we have since redesigned the appearance of these emails
  5. API Improvements
    • We wrote a Machine Learning Inference Engine which has provided an 80% increase in the IP Data we have available
    • We setup 20 honeypots around the world to gather more bad IP data which is then fed into our Inference Engine
    • We changed our ASN data provider and we now offer data on IPv6 addresses alongside IPv4, we also improved latency on ASN lookups
    • We grew our VPN service detection since June by over 150 new providers.
  6. Dashboard Improvements
    • We significantly improved the Stats tab enabling you to export your data to a file or through a JSON API
    • You now always receive an email for sensitive Dashboard changes (Email, Password and API Key Changes)
    • The Dashboard now asks you for confirmation when changing your API Key or Cancelling a subscription to prevent unintended clicks

Due to the support we've received from our customers either by taking a paid subscription or telling other developers that we exist we have been able to significantly grow and so we want you to know that we're fully committed to the service, we're not going anywhere and you can safely rely on us for years to come for your Proxy and VPN detection needs.
